A business laptop user can access extra functionality for dual-use keys by pressing the Fn(Function) key. It commonly controls hardware settings like volume or brightness. Steps for disable enable the Fn key on a laptop

To enter the BIOS menu on a computer during startup, turn on the computer and quickly press the key designated for accessing the BIOS. The key used for this varies by computer and manufacturer. For HP laptops, the key used is "F10". If the BIOS access window is missed during startup and the computer continues to load Windows, shut down the computer and try again.
